We partnered with sixty 3rd grade students from Lowell Elementary School (Classes 106 and 107) in Philadelphia to design a T-shirt for their "Stop the Violence Rally". Together with a total of 300 participating students in the Philadelphia School District, they marched through the streets of Olney (in Philadelphia) stoping traffic and chanting "Stop The Violence!"

Violence is a serious problem in Philadelphia, which has affected children in and outside of school. Thanks to Need and Deed (www.needindeed.org), a non-profit organization whose purpose is to develop special programs that address civic responsibiity, we were able to partner with the students to develop a concept and design for their T-shirt – a Peace symbol comprised of their own drawings (detail).

Talk about strangefruit, these kids dared to be different in order to make a difference!
